Abstract
Lichen Planopilaris (LPP) was first described by Pringle in 1895.1 It is a skin disorder that selectively attacks hair follicles with a lymphocytic inflammatory process that progressively destroys the follicle, causing patchy baldness. It is considered a primary cicatricial alopecia. LPP is classified in the lymphocytic group according to the North American Hair Research Society (NAHRS).
