Infertility, Celiac Disease and Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity

Abstract

Celiac disease (CD) is seldom considered in the evaluation of infertility, and the link between the two has been referred to many times in the literature as a ‘neglected clinical association’. It is estimated that approximately 7.4–14% of women are infertile in North America, with 15% of this infertility attributed to unexplained factors after hormonal and anatomical causes have been ruled out.
