Abstract

IT IS ALMOST A STANDARD PROCEDURE FOR A WOMAN WHO DESIRES TO BECOME PREGNANT, or who is pregnant, to have the attending physician prescribe a pre-natal vitamin with iron. This may not be in the best interest of the mother-to-be or the fetus.
