Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT OF TARGETED THERAPIES, also known as “smart drugs,” has provided a promising future for cancer patients. These smart drugs destroy cancer cells specifically, leaving healthy cells unharmed. This distinction is very important to cancer patients because it leads to better prognosis and fewer side effects as opposed to chemotherapy, which damages all cells, leading to severe side effects.
