Abstract

ABSTRACT: In the U.S. dairy products are promoted as the ideal way to build healthy bones. However, it has been reported that countries in which consumption of dairy products is routine have a higher rate of fractures than those in which dairy is not a staple. This paper is a preliminary investigation into the question; can vegetarians, especially vegans, have healthy bones?
