Abstract

PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS is a subjective sensation associated with varied symptoms that result from physical and emotional pressures. Stress can be either positive or negative, such as the stress of having a baby or the death of a family member. Our bodies were designed to respond to short-lived stress and return to a normal state once the stress was gone. However, in today’s modern society, we are constantly bombarded with stress and our bodies never get a chance to return to it normal physical state. When the body is in a state of chronic stress, it can result in various states of disease.
